Can I have fruits and berries on a keto plan?

Limes, lemons and berries are fine as long as you stay within your carb limit (50 g or less per day).

Berries such as blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries are very fibrous and have a pretty low glycemic index. So one cup of berries a day will be fine.

Other fruits have a lot of sugar (fructose) and carbs, although they include fiber. They’re not recommended as they will raise insulin and block fat burning.
