Symptoms, conditions and causes

What are the symptoms for estrogen dominance?

Estrogen is a hormone vital for women’s health and it is needed in smaller amounts for men. However, having too much estrogen can cause a lot of side effects.

  • Anxiety

  • Irritability

  • Breast tenderness

  • Weepiness

  • Cravings for chocolate

  • Joint pain

  • Acne

  • Weight in hips and thighs

  • Low libido

  • Fibroids

Cause #1: Consuming foods high in estrogen

Consuming foods with high amounts of estrogen can cause estrogen dominance. The solution would be to consume foods that are natural estrogen blockers like cruciferous vegetables, while avoiding foods that have high amounts of this hormone.

  • Avoid the following foods:

    • soy products

    • vegetable oils

    • corno oil

    • GMO foods

    • non-organic dairy

  • Consume cruciferous vegetables (natural estrogen blockers):

    • broccoli

    • cauliflower

    • kale

    • cabbage

    • radish

    • bok choy

    • Brussel sprouts

    • stinging nettle root

  • Consume DIM (concentrated cruciferous)

  • Do the Healthy Keto® diet

  • Do an intermittent fasting plan

  • Consume sea kelp

  • Consume flax oil or seeds

  • You can also use progesterone cream

Cause #2: High percentage of body fat

If you have a high percentage of body fat this can cause estrogen dominance. This is because your body fat produces estrogen itself. The less body fat you have the less estrogen will be produced by your own body.

  • Avoid refined carbs and sugar

  • Avoid snacking

  • Do the Healthy Keto® diet

  • Do an intermittent fasting plan

What to do after menopause?

Your ovaries are responsible for producing needed hormones for the healthy condition of your body. After menopause your ovaries lose this function and are unable to produce certain hormones like progesterone (which counters high amounts of estrogen).

Fortunately, our bodies have a backup system, our Adrenals (stress-regulating glands). Our adrenals produce estrogen as well as the progesterone that is required to keep estrogen levels normal. The best way to keep your adrenals strong is to avoid stress, because they burn out if you undergo consistent regular stress.

  • Consume vitamin B1:

• nutritional yeast • benfotiamine

  • Improve your sleep (take naps if needed)

  • Take long walks outside daily

  • Avoid things and people that stress you out

  • Consume potassium

  • Consume magnesium

  • Consume calcium (not calcium carbonate)

  • Apply the remedies from the above causes

  • You can also take my Adrenal & Cortisol Support

  • You can also take my Adrenal Stress Advanced Formula

Other causes:

  • Estrogen replacement therapy

  • Hormone replacement therapy

  • Taking Provera (synthetic progesterone)

  • Taking Prempro (synthetic progesterone + estrogen together)

  • Pesticides

  • Insecticides
