How can I get rid of stiffness in the back of the legs and hips?

If you have stiffness in the back of your legs, obviously the hamstrings are something you need to stretch but a little tip on that, if you stretch out your quadriceps, thigh muscles that will actually allow you to loosen up the hamstrings. Anytime you have a tight muscle, stretch the opposite muscle and watch what happens. Another common muscle that becomes stiff, especially in the lower back area that creates low back pain is the the hip flexor. If you were to lay on your stomach, on the floor, on your bed, and then kind of arch back up, you're going to stretch that muscle. Anything you can do to do arching back would be a very, very good thing. The other thing that I want to point out, backward walking helps reverse the dynamics and strengthens the glutes and different parts of your knee which will help put balance more in for your lower back.
