Where Do I Start?

Keto worked for me, but my friend isn't seeing similar results. Any advice for better outcomes?

This is the problem with comparing yourself to your friend or your spouse. It's not good because there's a lot of things that can happen. What about your history with insulin resistance? What how bad was that? Or some people, especially women that are menopausal, they have atrophy and it looks just like fat. And so in this process of healing, you're eating healthier, right? You're exercising, you're getting more muscle mass, you're getting more fat, you're getting more muscle mass, which can offset that weight. Personally, what I would recommend, which you might not want to hear this I would switch your goal. Put the weight loss to the side temporarily, focus on your health, focus on your strength, focus on the hunger going away because you're in deep ketosis and your appetite. No more cravings. Your clothes are looser and then start working on building up more lean body mass, which is ultimately going to help you burn more calories, especially as you get older. We lose the muscle and then there goes the metabolism.
