What are the causes for candida?

Candida is a type of yeast. It is very similar to molds and is related to fungus. Normally, our bodies have candida in them without any harmful effects. It is the overgrowth of harmful candida that can cause problems.

Symptoms:

  • White tongue

  • Burning mouth

  • Cottonmouth

  • Dry, cracked skin in the corners of the mouth

  • Bad taste in the mouth

  • Fatigue

  • Deficiencies of nutrients

    • B6

Cause #1: Lack of friendly yeast and bacteria

Friendly and unfriendly yeast and bacteria compete against each other in the body. If you have symptoms of candida overgrowth, this can simply mean that there is not enough healthy yeast or bacteria in the body. Consuming probiotics and fermented foods while countering unhealthy candida and bacteria should help.

Remedies:

  • Build friendly microflora with

    • probiotics

    • fermented vegetables

    • plain kefir

    • plain yogurt (high-fat)

  • Counter unfriendly candida

    • MCT oil

    • oregano oil

    • garlic

    • thyme

    • clove

    • grapefruit seed extract

    • intermittent fasting

    • molybdenum

Cause #2: High-carb diet

Harmful bacteria and candida use carbs as their food. If you consume too many refined carbs and sugar it will weaken your immune system (which normally attacks harmful candida). The solution would be to treat the harmful bacteria while you avoid consuming carbs. Additionally, one of the powerful things to do is to acidify your stomach by consuming betaine hydrochloride and apple cider vinegar (1 to 2 teaspoons stirred into about a cup of water) to address candida and improve your body’s response to carbs (lowers insulin).

Remedies:

  • Consume these before your meals:

    • apple cider vinegar (1 to 2 teaspoons stirred into about a cup of water)

    • betaine hydrochloride

  • Avoid refined carbs and sugar (also dairy and fruits)

  • Avoid snacking

  • Do an intermittent fasting plan

  • Do the Healthy Keto® diet

  • Consume vitamin D

Cause #3: High amounts of stress

If you undergo a lot of stress regularly without being able to recover properly, your immune system can go weak. This alone can cause the overgrowth of harmful candida in your body.

Remedies:

  • Do all the remedies from Cause #1

  • Consume vitamin B1

• nutritional yeast • benfotiamine

  • Improve sleep (take naps if needed)

  • Take long walks outside daily

  • Consume potassium

  • Consume magnesium

  • Consume calcium

  • Avoid things and people that stress you out

Other causes:

  • History of antibiotics

  • Too much estrogen

  • Birth control pills

  • Steroids

  • Hormone replacement therapy
