What is bacterial vaginosis and how do I remedy it?

Bacterial vaginosis is a condition caused by an overgrowth of bacteria in the vagina. This increases inflammation, which can cause itchiness, redness, and bleeding.

Cause: microbial imbalance

At the root of bacterial vaginosis is a microbial imbalance. When your body doesn’t have enough good bacteria, bad bacteria is left unchecked. In turn this leads to a bacterial infection. The key is to restore a healthy microbial balance.
