Symptoms, conditions and causes

What is the cause for skin tags and warts?

Skin tags and warts are really tiny benign tumors caused by papillomavirus. It is important to know that skin tags could also be caused by high amounts of insulin (fat-storing hormone).

Cause #1: Papillomavirus

Although this is not officially proven, papillomavirus is considered to be a cause of skin tags and warts. In my opinion papiloma virus has to do with developing them.

Cause #2: High insulin

Skin tags and warts are also caused by the body’s growth factor, which is triggered by insulin. Eating a lot of refined carbs and sugar (snacking too) will cause high amounts of Insulin. This
is why, in some cases, diabetics and pre-diabetics start getting skin tags around their necks or armpits. Insulin is anabolic (a hormone that grows things) so it can cause these skin tags to grow.
