What is the first sign of a vitamin A deficiency?

The answer is night blindness or just difficulty seeing when the lights are dim. It's not just like driving and seeing in the dark. Let's say your office is not well lit, and you spend eight hours and you're trying to read. You may think you need glasses, but it could be that you just need more vitamin A, the active form which is retinol.
