What kind of food should a recovering alcoholic consume?

The best foods for a recovering alcoholic:

1. Cruciferous vegetables 

2. Shellfish 

3. Sunflower seeds/nutritional yeast 

4. Fish—omega 3 fatty acids

Kombucha tea is a really good substitute for beer or wine. Just be sure it’s the one with the lowest amount of sugar. It’s similar to alcohol in that it can help you feel more relaxed and calm.
