Why am I gaining weight on keto?

It could be due to high frequency of eating as well as hidden sugars in the diet. If you consume too many snacks, this can keep insulin high, which will store fat.

However, if you exercise, chances are that you are building muscle. Muscles are heavier than fat, so you may notice that although your weight is going up, your waist is becoming thinner. That means keto is working.

Keto’s not working? Try this:

  • Double-check your carbs

  • Adjust your fasting pattern

  • Cut down on vegetables if you’re bloating

  • Cut down your fat to about 75 g

  • Exercise

  • Add 30 minutes to 1 hour of sleep

  • Add apple cider vinegar, potassium, vitamin B1, magnesium and vitamin D

  • Reduce stress

  • Fix health problems
