Weight Loss

Why can you not lose weight during menopause?

It's not just weight, it's atrophy. Menopausal atrophy is adrenal stress. This is higher amounts of cortisol. Atrophy is a major problem as you are losing muscle fiber and increased inflammation. This can be frustrating because you may be doing more exercise and eating better than those around you, but still, things are slow, however, the problem may not be all weight - it could be atrophy. This is called menopausal atrophy.

Make sure you do not overtrain with exercise.

  • Ensuring your sleep is better.

  • Inactivity is another problem.
