Why do I have pain under the rib cage?

Abdominal pain under the rib cage could be due to several causes. Most of them are connected to your liver or digestion.

Cause #1: SIBO

SIBO is a condition where a good portion of your friendly bacteria is in the wrong place. It’s in the small intestine instead of being located mostly in the large intestine where it belongs. This condition can cause a lot of bloating.

Remedies:

  • Take purified bile salts

  • Do intermittent fasting

  • Do the Healthy Keto® diet

  • Take apple cider vinegar (1 to 2 teaspoons stirred into about a cup of water)

  • Take betaine hydrochloride

  • Take natural antibiotics:

    • oregano • garlic
    • thyme
    • clove

  • While treating SIBO:

    • avoid foods with fiber for 3 to 6 weeks (including vegetables)

    • avoid probiotics

    • avoid fermented vegetables

  • Take vitamin D to lower the inflammation

Cause #2: Blockage in the digestive ducts

Your liver and pancreas are connected with certain digestive ducts. When you have blockage in these ducts, it can result in bile or other enzymes being unable to go through, causing inflammation.

On the pancreas side, blockage of its ducts will not allow certain enzymes to flow through, causing damage or inflammation in the pancreatic tissue or its ducts.

Remedies:

  • Take purified bile salts (on an empty stomach)

  • Avoid refined carbs and sugar

  • Lower the amount of grains

  • Avoid foods containing omega-6 fats (inflammatory):

    • nut butters

    • vegetable oil

    • soy oil

    • corn oil

  • Avoid alcohol

  • Do the Healthy Keto® diet

  • Do intermittent fasting

  • Take vitamin D to lower the inflammation

Other causes:

  • High-carb diet

  • Too many toxins

  • GMO foods

  • Lean protein

  • Eating too often
