Why is the EPA and DHA amounts in Cod Liver Capsules less than other products in the market?

The processing of our cod liver oil is made into a powder that is less potent in DHA and EPA but has other digestive benefits to assist with the absorption of the cod liver oil. The powder also extends the shelf life considerably.

Cod liver is not generally high in DHA and EPA, in comparison to other fish oils like sardine oil. Most cod liver capsules are added to a secondary fish oil which may be a higher source of DHA and EPA.
